I hate bats

Well, I got part way through my reflections on Tozer’s The Pursuit of God Day 2 only to doze off and awaken some 60 minutes later to a bat flying around in my tiny bedroom. Not what you want to wake up to. I have no idea where it came from. My hallway door was shut (as much as it can be with the crooked frame, which is most the way) and windows and screens shut.

I’ll tell more about the fiasco later–as well as contribute some Tozer thoughts–but I’m really tired. And I now have to attempt to fall asleep knowing that flippin’ bat is somewhere in the house.

I hope I don’t awaken to it dive-bombing my head again.

Well, at least you don’t have to worry about mosquitoes buzzing around your ear…it might not be too bad having a bat around…

But even though they cause more good then harm, for some reason anything flying around in a closed space would make me nervous…bat, bird, bees..fairies! haha You sir, are the new BATMAN!

Yeah. I hope it had a successful eating frenzy in my house. Who knows. As long as it isn’t rabid… And it was a pretty good sized one, too. Looked like its wing-span was in the neighborhood of 10-12 inches.

10-12 inches that we can cut down to an un-dramaticized wingspan of 4-6 inches I’m sure…but then again, I caught a 20 lb. fish this week-end! Haha-just kidding Joel… =)

Amanda… always one for a snide remark! I actually am a pretty good judge of lengths, having worked construction and memorized the 25′ tape-measure.

I totally believe you…and if it were me, I’m sure I’d be calling it batMAN b/c it would be that big in my memory. =)

Not quite a flying fox. You’re right–they’re huge… like 4-5 ft. wingspan huge. Thank the Lord it wasn’t one of those.

BTW: I haven’t seen the bat return yet. Must have gotten lost in our house for the night and found its way out.
