Sometimes plans change

I had plans to write something substantial tonight regarding some stuff I’ve been reading. But, it’s not going to happen. I’m wiped out and will be going to bed shortly.

Scooter and I wrapped up Band of Brothers just a bit ago. What an awesome mini-series. I’m so glad I borrowed it from my cousin Steve. I’m also glad I invited Scott to watch it with me. It was fun and a bonding experience of sorts.

If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. Of course, there are some rough areas; it’s about World War II, after all. But if you can handle the occasional battle wound (closing eyes is acceptable), then I think it’s worth the time investment. It was good to have a greater understanding of what those before us did. Unbelievable.

I can only pray I would be that brave. The men of Easy Company and the 101st Airborne were simply amazing people.
