“So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today.” Hebrews 4:7a
Today, I accept the invitation into God’s rest. I may stumble and fall and cave into doubt and unbelief again, some day in the future—maybe even tomorrow. But today, I chose rest.
I enter into my land of promise by faith. I agree with the good report. His promises are true and he’s appointed blessings for me and an inheritance that I simply need to apprehend.
It won’t be without fight. It won’t be without struggle. That was never the promise. But his promised land of provision and rest from toil and striving is there for the taking. And today I’m going to take it.
Because this day I fight, and “make every effort to enter that place of rest.” Hebrews 4:11a GW
