I haven’t maintained records of the hundreds of posts, articles, brochures, emails, marketing automations, web pages, videos, courses, webinars or books I’ve reviewed and edited throughout my professional career. But I was able to unearth a few PDFs with edits and recommendations I made on book manuscripts for Doug Addison, a Christian minister.
Below are seven examples from hundreds of comments, suggestions and edits I contributed toward his books.
Here, I challenge a statement that contradicts what he laid out previously in the book:
In this edit, I propose reworking two paragraphs, removing inconsistencies and making sure the content supports the heading.
This was my recommended replacement text:
A little fact-checking here, noting that most messianic prophecies are found in the prophets, not the Torah.
This is hard to read, but I state: “I’m not seeing anywhere previously in the book this is mentioned.”
And here I note:
We might need to establish some consistency on how this is referred to. Earlier (pg 83) we said “The Courtroom of Heaven” (singular). Now its “Courts of Heaven” (plural and lacking “room”. Should it always be singular or plural? Should it always have “room” or not? Is there a difference between the Courtroom of Heaven and Courts of Heaven? Using different wording seems to imply so.
