“Aunt Joyce” or “A glorious reunion”

I’m pretty excited for my late Aunt Joyce, who yesterday, at 8:15 a.m., went on to be with Jesus and start living the real life. It was a moment she was looking foward to.

It’s tough on us all–especially Uncle Dennis and my cousins Kris Ann and Jennifer. It will surly be an emotional weekend. But right now, I can’t help but smile a bit, thinking about what it must be like for her to be basking in all the glory she was created to experience.

Her life was a life well-lived. I hold fond memories of her joy, laughter and huge heart. I’ll miss her.

We’re traveling to Pennsylvania tomorrow for the funeral. Please keep our family in your prayers.

One odd fact: We were in Virginia the day Chase was admitted to Mott Children’s Hospital. We’ll be traveling to Pennsylvania the day he is going home.

Our prayers and our sympathy to your family for your loss. We will be praying for a safe trip for all of you as you travel. What a wonderful testimony her life must have been for the Lord and will continue to be so even in her death. What great news that Chase is going home! We continue to lift them up for strength in their day to day activities. My mom has just recuperated from a broken leg and that was hard enough to take care of – I can only imagine what these past weeks have been like for your sister and her family. God provides the strength we need – no more and no less. Praise Him!
In Christ’s Love,
Shelby (Emily’s mom from Georgia)
