“Cheap photos” or “Support Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief”

SykesunsetSince I know all of you have been itching to secure some original photography of mine at a decent price, I’ll make you aware of this neat opportunity I ran into.

An international group of fine art photographers has banded together to raise
funds for Gulf Coast disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. I am one of them. Our goal is to "offer a visual and tangible incentive for donating to the relief effort."

What that basically means is that we’re selling photos to raise money; 100% of
the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.

The system Peter Cohen of Explodingeye.com came up with is pretty simple: Pay $25 for the 8×12 photograph of your choice and that $25 all goes to the Red Cross. We photographers absorb production costs, fulfill those orders, and send the prints–free shipping and everything.

I submitted four pictures; you can browse through them in the Explodingeye Gulf Coast Disaster Relief Gallery. My submissions start on page 7 of the gallery.

So, I encourage you to check out the photos that are available at a great price and are helping a great cause. Tell a friend, too.

Hey – you know Im game whenever it comes to your photos! I will have to send you some pics of my new apt so you can see your artwork displayed! Just wanted to let you know that I advertised that exploding eye site on my blog…only problem – Im not sure anyone reads it any more :-) But check it out if you have time http://apriljh.blogspot.com/ no, I dont know how to insert a link without writing out the address, but maybe someday I will learn. Take care and hope that whatever it is that is going on in your life is awesome and will bring you closer to God.

Thanks for being such a huge fan of my photos! I had totally forgotten that you already had THREE hanging in your apt. That’s more than my parents have. You might be right up there with Tim Davis…

not to be too freaky – but I actually have FIVE of your photos in my apartment. So do I beat out Tall Tim? (how is he by the way? send my greetings!) And if so, do I win a prize? a cookie? a gold star?
