This is such obscure, yet incredible information, I just had to share it with you:

[Barry Bonds] walked so much that even if he’d gotten no hits all year, he still would have had a higher on-base percentage than the guy who led the league in hits, Juan Pierre.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg on how dominant a season Bonds had in securing his record seventh NL MVP award. He has four in a row; nobody else has won four ever.
