“Logitech” or “I do solemnly swear”

Today I am committing myself ‘Til Death-Do-Us-Part to my first computer-speaker love: Logitech. I will never, ever, cheat on her and purchase computer speakers from another company.

Not only do they have (from my experience) the best sounding speakers on the market. But they also have the best customer service I have ever encountered…from ANY company.

For a few months, my upstairs laptop speakers have been crackling and making sickly noises through the left channel. I put off doing anything about it, dreading the thought of having to call customer service and acquire an RMA number and then finding a box to pack them up in and pay to ship them to the company and have them serviced and then shipped back. Just seemed like too much of a hassle.

So, I prayed for them…prayed that the unexplainable and annoying would go away and that I’d be able to simply enjoy my music. But nothing seemed to come from that despite my persistance for several months.

Alas, I decided to call Logitech today and get the ball rolling. I’m in the RMA zone anyway, having requested Return Merchandise Authorization for my desktop’s motherboard just last week.

Turns out that I don’t have to bother shipping my stuff to Logitech. I don’t even have to pack up my speakers. They’re just going to send me new ones–the updated model even…and I can do what I want with the old ones. Customer service suggested throwing them in the dumpster, but I’ll probably try to give them away or even fix them.

Thanks, Jesus. And thanks, Logitech.
