So… about an hour after yesterday’s aforementioned chat, we all went to breakfast, leaving the chaos to uncoil. I proceeded to go home, but coworker Jason walked back into the fire. He Skyped me this message while I was sound asleep:

Ouch… well whatever went wrong I hope it doesn’t take eight months to fix.
no…there’s more…there’s all the delicious chocolate eaten, the friendships we’ve built between the 3/4 of us, there’s all the laughter..(most that i missed, but it’s still there and still good…) there’s the pineapple that came al the way from Costa Rica to help us…Joel! 8 months of stress, yes, but also 8 months of growth and 8 months of learning to depend on God in everything.

Well Joel, put it this way. It could have been worse. It could have cost you “$972 million dollars. it is quite possible you are going to send a whole generation of people back to walking around on bare feet”:).
