I’m running in the mini-Indy this weekend—the largest 1/2 marathon in the country. Physically and mentally, I believe I’m ready. But a sore lower back crept up on me overnight on Wednesday and now I’m in pain. I’m fighting it through prayer and faith, so please join me in the battle.
Apparently those of you who aren’t making the trip down to watch me should be able to track my progress online via the mini-Indy Web site. Not sure how it works, but feel free to give it a shot.

My prayers are with you Joel. I believe God heals. I’m sure you know all about stretching, heat and cold.
Enjoy the run.
Phil and I are training to bike Skyline. That should be great. I won’t get to do the official ride but I’ve told Phil I want to train with him and bike to Big Meadows some Saturday morning. It is a great ride.
how the mini-Indy website works:
some time between 2 and 3 a.m. the night before the race, when you are sleeping soundly all snuggled in your bed, the mini-Indy elf comes creeping through your window. with his long green fingernails, he takes a little square micro-chip out of his pocket and sticks it way down deep in your ear. you are now GPS trackable anywhere you go.
sleep tight! ;-)
